The Website Blueprint package is a way for me to work with your business one on one, to distil the very best customized advice possible, to help get your website project off to a good start. Twelve years of building websites for entrepreneurs and small businesses, I have discovered the patterns and questions that need to be asked; the advice that should be given; to make sure you don’t get caught with your pants down, wasting money and/or time you can never get back.

It took me a while to realize that the only way to really help clients avoid these pitfalls, was to guide them through this process first. This is a detailed advisory process, comprising the following parts:

1. An initial consultation of around 60 to 90 minutes to assess your needs, goals, and help you strategize and come up with a perfect fit for you, your personality, your budget, and your business goals.
2. A detailed, customized report with specific advice, covering over 20 different areas  in a clear and careful fashion:
   • Technology recommendations
   • Support, maintenance, and security recommendations
   • Budgeting and hiring suggestions
   • Workflow recommendations for staffing and maintenance
   • Marketing recommendations: how to best integrate  your new site into your overall plan, and use it to its utmost
3. A final consultation of about 60-90 minutes, to go over the plan, adjust recommendations, and help you with next steps

These are the steps I take every new website client through, and I have found virtually no one who will not benefit from them. Essentially, they are the building blocks that let you see the big picture enough to take wise action.

Without these steps, my experience has taught me, you are likely to:

• Overspend on some areas, and completely miss other areas
• Never see the full potential of what your website can be
• Expose yourself to security risks that can become a real hassle
• Find the experience of hiring someone—or doing it yourself—a lot more exhausting than it would have to be
• Miss opportunities to synergize your website with the rest of your marketing, and fully see how they can fit together into a seamless whole

Although you can certainly get a much better idea of all of this by just contemplating it in a holistic fashion, this package is a fully-customized set of recommendations that will lay a solid foundation for your success.

The end result of this package is a solid sense of how to approach the building, hiring, and execution of your website project.
