About Chris
I’ve always been fascinated by how things connect. At UC Santa Cruz, I majored in Modern Society and Social Thought because I had a deep hunger for knowledge—I wanted to understand how the world worked and how human beings could better thrive. Studying economics, urban planning, social theory, and anthropology — I was drawn to the spaces where different fields of knowledge intersected and informed each other.
I graduated at a time when the world was fully waking up to the ways we were affecting the climate. As I went into the "real world," I felt a strong commitment to do work that was meaningful and left the world a better place. I have always kept this in my heart, throughout my work and life.
My technical career began at Autodesk in 1993, where I developed online help systems and early hypertext interfaces. From the start, I found myself naturally bridging worlds—translating between technical teams and writers, building tools that helped people communicate more effectively. I was designing systems that made complex information accessible and useful.
In 2005, I launched a web design business specializing in WordPress (when it was only two years old—I've always been drawn to emerging possibilities). But something interesting happened: what started as building websites gradually morphed into marketing consulting, then business strategy, and eventually the holistic approach I practice today. Clients would come asking for a website, but through our conversations, we'd discover they actually needed a clearer business plan, a marketing strategy, or help aligning their vision with reality.
That insight—the gap between what people think they need and what they actually need—became central to everything I do.
Alongside my business evolution, I've been on a path of consciousness and leadership training since 2004, becoming a licensed instructor in transformational learning methodologies. This isn't separate from my business work—it's integral to it. Spiritual practice has been part of my path since I was young, and I've learned that the most elegant business solutions often emerge when we address both the outer structures and the inner dynamics at play.
I'm drawn to working with values-driven entrepreneurs and organizations. I've collaborated with Impact Hub Oakland, helped produce alternative economics conferences, and consistently gravitated toward smart, evolutionary ways of doing business. My clients tend to be privately held companies, B-Corps, and conscious entrepreneurs who want their methods to align with their values.
Over two decades, I've developed an approach that looks at the whole system, finding the hidden leverage points that create quantum improvements in flow and effectiveness. I help business owners discover their resonant frequency: that sweet spot where everything works together naturally, eliminating wasted effort and repeated problems.
The thread that connects everything—from my interdisciplinary studies to my technical background to my consciousness training—is this: I see patterns. I understand how different elements of a system interact. And I help people find the elegant reorganization that makes everything work better together.
Because the most powerful solutions are often simpler than we think, hiding in plain sight.
